About The Academy

Education for Exultation

The Academy is the title we have given to our ongoing commitment to theological education. Every month, we choose a topic to dig into deeper theological training. Over the course of a year we'll cover topics ranging from Systematic Theology, to Church History, to Apologetics, to Spiritual Formation, and more!
All of our classes are offered on Sunday afternoon after the Sunday gathering has completed. Typically, the classes run for ninety minutes, from 11:45-1:15. The goal of the classes is to combine a mixture of lecture and group discussion around the topic. Depending on the topic being covered, there may be two or three classes offered in a series for that month.

Systematic Theology

Our Systematic Theology classes aim to form both the mind and the heart. Using Joel Beeke’s Essentials of Reformed Systematic Theology as our primary text, instructors will also draw from a wide range of faithful voices across the Reformed tradition. These courses are not designed merely to increase knowledge, but to shape lives marked by worship, obedience, and love for God. Theology is always practical, guiding how we pray, suffer, serve, and hope. As Petrus van Mastricht once wisely said, “Christian theology is best defined as the doctrine of living for God through Christ.” That vision shapes every class we teach.
