Text: 1 Peter 2:5-10
Synopsis: This week we pause our study in Revelation and gather as one body of believers from across the city of Chicago. We are reminded that God’s call to be Salt and Light is not given for us to be isolated from this world. In 1 Peter 2, we are described as living stones being built together into a spiritual house. We are a chosen priesthood, meant to declare God’s glory and excellencies to a watching world. Revelation gives us that picture of a united people bearing witness to Jesus under his reign. Christ suffered faithfully for us, leaving an example that calls his people to endure suffering and live as visible witnesses.
