How it all started...
Park South Loop, originally Park Near South, was planted by Pastor Kensen Lam in 2010. This image shows the very first Sunday of that original Church plant. The Church initially met in a small gymnasium on Maxwell Street near UIC. They were one of the first Church plants of the Park Community Church family of Churches.
In 2014 Pastor Raef Chenery became the Lead Pastor, while Pastor Kensen Lam moved to a more centralized pastoral role among the various Park Churches.

Expanding the vision...
The Church continued to grow, and on Easter of 2018 planted Park Bridgeport under the leadership of Pastor Kensen Lam.
In 2021, a second Church plant in coordination with Park Bridgeport and Park South Loop was launched in Hyde Park (see image) under the leadership of Pastor Noah Chung.

Where we are headed...
Park South Loop is passionate about seeing our city reached with the good news of Jesus Christ. We want to see culture transformed by faithful Christians living out their faith publicly. We're doing that here in Chicago, and around the world, as we have sent and continue to love and support our missionaries that have been sent off to some of the most challenging and unreached peoples in our world today.
Be a part of our story...
Join us every Sunday for corporate worship 10am and in Small Groups throughout the week.
