I'm New

I'm Glad You're Here

A Note From Pastor Raef

By God's grace I have had the pleasure of serving as the Pastor at Park South Loop for nearly a decade. This is truly a remarkable Church family. At the heart of this community is the good news of Jesus Christ's death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sin. We are passionately committed to pursuing Christ together, growing in our knowledge of the Scriptures, deepening our resolve to stand confidently in our Christian faith, and bringing the love of Christ with us to every corner of this city. We invite you to join us on that awesome mission.
We like to use the word “family” to describe the depth of relationship that we aim for among our members, but I also know that coming into a new Church can often be either intimidating or overwhelming. So, we want to do everything we can to help you take some of those first steps in getting involved and getting connected. We have a number of folks who are eager to connect with you as you begin to get plugged in and make this Church your home.

What to Expect

Arriving: If it's your first time with us, here is a bit of what to expect. Our Sunday gathering is at 10:00am weekly. Services are typically 80 minutes. We actually rent out a large facility that during the week is a Union Hall. This building has served us well not only because of the space, but also because of the extended parking lot, which makes arriving and parking easy. This close to downtown, a parking lot that size is uncommon.

Children & Youth: Our fantastic children's ministry, which serves infants through fifth grade, meets during the service as well.  You'll see a big 'Children's Ministry' sign when you walk into the main auditorium where you can check your kids in and meet our children's ministry leaders. Our Middle School children and older are invited to stay in the main service on Sundays, and to join the Youth Group that meets during the week.

Music & Preaching: Typically our Sunday gathering will have music led by our wonderful Music Team. Songs are specifically chosen that are both doctrinally sound, and a combination of new worship music and old hymns.  We typically preach verse by verse through the entire Bible, so as to let the Bible speak for itself.  Every sermon is aimed at helping us truly understand the what the text says, working it deeply into our heart to reveal where we might be living out of alignment with God's Word, and then applying it into our lives in very practical ways. You're welcome to checkout sermons on our Youtube Channel before you arrive to get a sense for the content.

Dress: Most folks dress pretty casual, but some are more comfortable dressing up for Church. You're welcome to join us on Sunday morning and find a home and community!
